Kia Carens EV – India’s first electric MPV coming soon

Kia is set to launch its first electric MPV model, the Carens EV, in India in the next 2-3 months. It is designed to be a direct competitor to the Maruti Ertiga. According to the information received through spy photos, the MPV is expected to have a new facelift design with a sharper front end and several advanced features. The Carens EV is expected to have some significant differences and unique features on the exterior compared to the recently launched Carens Clavis model.

Modern design

The Carens EV model will have modern features unique to EV vehicles. It has a different gear selector and center console than conventional cars. In addition, this electric MPV will be provided with a long digital screen called Dual Panoramic Display, which also has features such as charging station locator, which are necessary information for electric vehicles. This will make the travel experience more modern and comfortable.

Powerful motor and long range for Carens EV

The Carens EV model can use a 51.4 kWh NMC type lithium-ion battery. It can also be connected to a permanent magnet synchronous motor that provides 169 hp.

With the help of this system, the Carens EV is expected to provide a range of about 425 kilometers. Through this, this electric vehicle will be the best combination of power, long range and modern technology.

Syros EV Coming in 2026: Kia to Launch Small SUV

In April 2026, Kia plans to launch a new small electric SUV model called Syros EV. This vehicle will have more passenger comfort and modern connectivity features. The Syros EV will be designed with some major changes compared to its normal Infiniti model. It is expected to come out with an improved and modern design similar to the already introduced Carens EV model.

Safe and Cheap LFP Battery Technology for Syros EV

The Syros EV model is expected to use LFP battery pack instead of the conventional NMC battery. LFP battery has many advantages such as low cost, long working capacity and low fire risk. Moreover, these LFP cells will be manufactured locally by India’s Exide Energy, which will help keep the cost of the vehicle under control. With this, the Syros EV, which will have a range of more than 400 km, will be the main electric SUV targeted at the middle class in the Indian market.

Kia new journey in the Indian electric vehicle market is set to bring exciting changes. Models like the Carens EV and Syros EV are designed to offer a combination of high performance, advanced technology features, and affordable pricing. They are responsible for making electric vehicles the preferred choice across India. Kia is poised to take the lead in the clean and affordable vehicles of the future.
