Madrid attempts in the second half were unsuccessful
Real Madrid tried to get back into the game by scoring at least one goal. In the 52nd minute, Mbappe fired a powerful shot from the edge of the box. But the ball went over the bar. Then, in the 72nd minute, Valverde’s shot could have been a goal, but it deflected off PSG player Peraldo’s body and missed the goal. So, despite Madrid’s hard work in the second half, they were unable to score.

PSG lead increased despite Madrid fighting until the end
Real Madrid created some dangerous moments with set pieces in the closing minutes of the match. Modric, who played his last match for the team, took a corner kick. Militao fired a powerful shot from outside the box in the 86th minute, but PSG keeper Donnarumma blocked it. In response, Gonzalo Ramos scored PSG’s fourth goal in the 88th minute to make it 4–0. Real Madrid fought hard until the end, but PSG’s performance was unstoppable.
In the end, Real Madrid lost 4–0 to PSG. This defeat eliminated them from the 2025 Club World Cup. PSG established their dominance early in the match and Madrid tried until the end, but could not change the course of the match. This resulted in Real Madrid’s comeback attempt failing and they were forced to leave the tournament.
