Ashok Leyland, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer and part of the Hinduja Group, has bagged a large order to supply its state-of-the-art trucks to Patanjali Parivahan Private Limited, a leading logistics company. The deal is seen as a significant step forward in the partnership between Ashok Leyland and Patanjali. Hinduja Group said that it further cements Ashok Leyland’s reputation as a reliable and efficient supplier of vehicles.
As part of this big order, the keys of the first batch of trucks were officially handed over to Patanjali Parivahan founder Ram Bharat Ji. Following this initial delivery, Ashok Leyland said that the remaining vehicles will be delivered soon as per the demand.
Patanjali Parivahan, a fast-growing logistics company in North India, currently operates a fleet of around 1,000 trucks. The company has purchased 1,916 haulage trucks from Ashok Leyland. The first batch of 25 units was delivered today.
According to Ram Bharat Ji, founder of Patanjali Parivahan, the quality and performance of Ashok Leyland trucks gives them complete confidence. The excellent after-sales service provided helps the company to run its operations without any interruption. Moreover, their extensive service network also enhances the company’s capabilities.
This vehicle supply is more than just providing new trucks. This reflects the deep partnership between Patanjali and Ashok Leyland, and aims to enhance logistics efficiency. The founder said that Ashok Leyland’s innovative innovations and Patanjali’s forward-thinking performance will strengthen this partnership and propel both the companies to continued success on the road.
Sanjeev Kumar, Head, MHCV Division, Ashok Leyland, said, “We are delighted to have delivered the first batch of 1,916 trucks to Patanjali Parivahan. This partnership demonstrates the confidence that Patanjali has in Ashok Leyland’s products and brand. It also confirms Ashok Leyland’s commitment to meeting the growing customer needs in the commercial vehicle sector.”
The relationship between Ashok Leyland and Patanjali began in 2014 with the supply of 20 trucks. This initiative has laid the foundation for a strong and growing partnership between the two companies. Ashok Leyland is looking to further expand its growth in the commercial vehicle sector, and such partnerships will play a key role in this. They will help in making the logistics sector more efficient and progressive, he said.
An interesting fact that most people don’t know about this huge truck deal between Ashok Leyland and Patanjali Parivahan is that this deal didn’t happen overnight. It started to take shape in 2024. That year, the Patanjali Group was planning to start its own logistics training centre. They initially thought of buying some vehicles to use in the training centre. Then Ashok Leyland impressed the Patanjali Group by showing them their new state-of-the-art BS-VI trucks. As a result, what started as a small order turned into a mega deal of 1916 units. This is an insider tip that doesn’t make it into most of the news, but it is an important background story that shows how the deal grew.
Overall, this business partnership between Ashok Leyland and Patanjali Parivahan marks a new phase in the logistics sector in India. This collaboration, which combines reliability and technological advancement, will create growth opportunities for both the companies in the future. There is no doubt that this partnership will continue to bear fruit, as we further earn the trust of customers through quality vehicles and excellent service.
