Bajaj is planning to launch a new low-cost electric scooter in India this month, June 2025, based on the already successful Chetak 2903 model. Prior to this, in April 2025, Bajaj launched the lowest-cost model of its Chetak 35 Series electric scooter line, the Chetak 3503. This model is being sold at a price of Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Since the new scooter that will be launched is said to be priced even lower than the Chetak 3503, it is expected to become the most cost-effective option in electric vehicles.
New scooter launch based on Chetak 2903
It has been reported that the new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter, which will be launched, is designed based on the currently sold Chetak 2903 model. The current Chetak 2903 model is priced at Rs. 99,998 (ex-showroom). The new scooter, which is based on this model, is expected to feature several technological improvements. It is likely to become a more value-added option for customers.
