Bajaj to Launch New 125cc Bike Soon!

Bajaj Auto is currently designing a new 125cc motorcycle. It is expected to go on sale in the financial year 2025-26. This bike is likely to be launched under the popular name “Pulsar”. Bajaj wants to further strengthen its position in the 125cc bike segment, which is the most widely sold in India. For this, it is planning to add a new model to the existing 125cc bike line. This will increase sales in the segment and also gain a lead over competitors.

Bajaj to Launch New 125cc Bike Soon!

At the recent earnings call of Bajaj, its top managers shared some important decisions regarding future vehicle products. According to them, Bajaj plans to give more emphasis to the sporty bikes in the 125cc and 150cc to 160cc categories in the future. Currently, the 125cc segment alone contributes more than 40% to Bajaj’s total bike sales.

Therefore, the introduction of a new model in that segment will further strengthen the company’s market position. Similarly, the 150cc and 160cc segments also account for about 22% of the total sales. Based on this, the company wants to strengthen its position in those segments as well.

Bajaj Bikes in the 125cc segment

  • Pulsar 125 – This is one of the most popular 125cc bikes from Bajaj. It offers stylish looks and reliable performance.
  • Pulsar NS125 – Designed for NS (Naked Sports) bikes, it has a sporty design that is targeted at the youth.
  • Pulsar N125 – This is a new generation bike and comes with a modern design, digital features and better engine performance.
  • Freedom 125 (CNG Powered) – This is a bike that runs on both CNG and petrol. It is designed for people who want to travel on a budget.

All these bikes play a key role in Bajaj’s 125cc bike range and are designed to cater to the diverse needs of customers.

Bajaj Bikes in the 150-160cc category

  • Pulsar 150 – This is one of the best-selling models for many years. It is very popular among the younger generation. It has good mileage and reliable performance.
  • Pulsar NS160 – NS stands for Naked Sports. It has a sporty look and advanced suspension and brake systems.
  • Pulsar N150 – This is one of the N series bikes. It has been designed to provide a new generation design and riding experience.
  • Pulsar N160 – This is an improved version of the N150. With more horsepower and torque, it provides a better riding experience.

Bigger models

RS200 – These are the bikes in the 200cc category. The NS200 is a naked sports bike and the RS200 is a fully faired sports bike. Both are designed to provide high-speed performance and a sporty riding experience.

All these bikes are targeted at Bajaj’s mid-range and upper-range customers.

Bajaj is focusing on the 125cc bike segment in its future plans. They believe that it will grow by around 8 to 12 percent in the financial year 2025-26. Considering this growth, Bajaj is going to introduce a new 125cc bike. This new model is expected to boost the company’s sales and further strengthen their position in the segment. The company is confident that this initiative will help them increase their market share.

Bajaj plans to bring back old brands

Bajaj is likely to reintroduce one of its old brands, the Discover bike, in the market in the future. In addition, it is said that the recently discontinued CT125X bike can also be re-released with new improvements. Since the CT125X model has always been a model designed to target price-conscious customers, if it is brought back, it is expected to be well received by that type of customer.

Bajaj is trying to reduce competition with Honda

Honda is currently leading in the 125cc and above bike segment. Since Bajaj is in second place in this segment, new efforts are being made to reduce that gap. With a market share difference of about 5 to 6 percent with Honda, Bajaj is planning to bring new 125cc and above capacity bikes to the market to increase its share. This is expected to strengthen Bajaj’s position in the segment.
