Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6

Royal Enfield is developing its first fully electric bike, the Flying Flea C6. This bike comes under a new sub-brand called “Flying Flea”. Apart from the Flying Flea C6, there is also another model called the Flying Flea S6. Both these models were launched at the EICMA 2024 International Motor Show.

The Flying Flea C6 model has been showcased in major cities like Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru in India. It was also recently spotted on public roads during a test drive. Royal Enfield has confirmed that the electric bike will go on sale before March 2026.

C6 Key Features

  • Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea C6 electric bike brings new dimensions in technology. The front suspension is made of aluminum ‘Girder’ type suspension. This replaces the telescopic suspension found in traditional bikes and provides better stability and handling.
  • The front of the bike has a circular LED headlight. This gives the bike a unique look and better visibility at night.
  • This model has a color digital touch instrument console. It has many modern features like riding modes, OTA (Over-The-Air) updates and voice command assistance. These features provide a smart and convenient riding experience to the passengers.
  • The C6 model has a fast-charging fixed battery. It is designed to reduce the travel time. Moreover, it is expected to have a range of 200 to 220 kilometers on a proper full charge.
  • In terms of performance, the company has said that this electric bike will be on par with petrol engine bikes of 250cc to 300cc. Thus, despite being an electric vehicle, it is believed that it will surpass traditional ICE bikes in terms of performance and experience.

Royal Enfield 250cc Hybrid Bike

Royal Enfield is developing a new 250cc hybrid bike model for the Indian market. It has been reported that this bike will be cheaper and slightly smaller than the currently sold Hunter 350 model. This adds a new dimension to Royal Enfield’s hybrid vehicle line-up.

The 250cc engine used in this bike is said to be sourced from CFMoto, a famous Chinese motorcycle manufacturer. Through this, efforts are being made to bring a hybrid bike with better performance and modern technology to the Indian market.

Key features of this bike

Royal Enfield is currently developing a 250cc hybrid bike. The expected price of this bike is around Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Since it is made with hybrid technology, it will operate on a combination of both petrol and electric power.

Its mileage is expected to be more than 50 km/liter. This bike will be manufactured at the company’s factory in Chennai, and most of the components used in it will be manufactured locally. The new 250cc bike has been codenamed “V”. If all goes according to plan, the hybrid bike is expected to be launched in the Indian market by mid-2027.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6

Royal Enfield’s Flying Flea S6 is its second full-fledged electric bike. It is a Scrambler-type bike and shares the same platform with the already launched C6 model. However, there are some key differences in the S6. It will offer a higher ride height, unique side panels and improved suspension travel. It will also be able to reach 0-60 kmph faster than the C6. The model is expected to go on sale in the Indian market by the end of 2026.

Conclusion

Royal Enfield is now moving beyond its traditional ICE bikes and into electric and hybrid technologies. This is a major step forward. In particular, the new sub-brand Flying Flea is launching bikes in various styles like Scrambler and Cruiser, which confirms that the company is moving towards attracting young customers. With the launch of these models, there is a possibility of a major change in the Indian mid-range electric bike market.
