Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) sold 1,80,077 units in May 2025. This figure includes three categories: vehicles sold in the domestic market, vehicles shipped for export and vehicles delivered to Toyota. In particular, 1,35,962 units of passenger vehicles were sold. Not only this, more than 31,000 vehicles were also shipped to the export market. From these data, it can be seen that Maruti Suzuki’s sales were very active in May.

Maruti Suzuki sales in the domestic market
In the Indian market alone, Maruti Suzuki has shipped a total of 1,38,690 vehicles to its dealers. Out of this, a large portion, i.e. 1,35,962 units, belong to passenger vehicles. Separately, the Eeco model alone played a major role with 12,327 units sold. Similarly, the commercial van Super Carry sold 2,728 units. This clearly shows that Maruti Suzuki’s domestic market performance was strong in May as well.
Sales of mini and compact cars decline, midsize cars remain stable
In Maruti Suzuki’s May 2025 sales, the mini and compact car segments collectively sold 68,278 units. Out of this, Alto and S-Presso sold 6,776 units, while Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Celerio, WagonR and Ignis collectively sold 61,502 units. But this is less compared to the sales in May last year, as the mini and compact cars combined sold 78,108 units during that time. Among midsize sedans, the Ciaz model alone sold 458 units. With this, the total passenger car sales stood at 68,736 units. Although this shows a slight decline in sales, there is a stable situation in the midsize category.

Media decline, good growth in exports
Maruti Suzuki has sold 2,80,743 units of vehicles in the domestic market so far (year-to-date) in the financial year 2025-26. This is slightly lower than the 2,87,142 units sold in the same period last year. But at the same time, exports have increased significantly to 59,130 units. This is higher than the 39,527 units sold in the same period in 2024. In addition, vehicle deliveries to other vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) have also increased to 19,995 units.
