Suzuki has updated its mid-size adventure bike, the V-Strom 800DE, for 2025. It uses a 776cc parallel-twin engine that has been revised to comply with the new OBD-2B regulations of the Indian government. There are no major changes to the engine and mechanicals.

However, three new colours have been introduced to give a different look. The bike is priced at Rs 10.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Moreover, the bike will be available only at select showrooms of Suzuki’s large-scale vehicles in India.
New colours
The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE comes with three new colour options. The first is the Pearl Tech White colour, which features blue spoke rims with a white base. It gives a clean, precise look. The second, Champion Yellow No.2, reflects the company’s heritage. It has dark panels and matching blue rims. The third option, Glass Sparkle Black, is a more subdued look with black rims and gray-red graphic work. All three are given to accelerate the look of the bike.

Perfect performance
The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE bike uses a 776cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin type DOHC engine. This engine has a 270-degree crank, so it provides sound and performance like a V-twin engine. This high-performance engine delivers a maximum power of 84 bhp (at 8,500 rpm) and 78 Nm of torque (at 6,800 rpm).
Chassis and Suspension
The chassis, the main structure of this bike, is built on a main frame made of steel. The suspension is provided by high-quality inverted forks provided by Hitachi Astemo (SHOWA) at the front. At the rear, a monoshock with manual preload control is provided. The suspension stroke of 220mm and the same amount of ground clearance are given, which is the highest ever in V-Strom bikes. This allows this bike to perform well off-road as well.
In terms of wheel features, 21-inch aluminum wheels at the front and 17-inch aluminum wheels at the rear have been used. These are connected to strong wire spoke wheels and Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tires, which enable the bike to be used stably on all terrains.
Bike Features
- The 2025 Suzuki V-Strom 800DE bike has been provided with many modern and user-friendly features. The main one is the quickshifter that works in both directions, which means that you can change smoothly between lower and higher gears without using the clutch. The SDMS (Suzuki Drive Mode Selector) allows the rider to select three different ride modes according to their needs and conditions.
- The traction control system works to control the bike’s rotation, and it comes with a gravel mode that provides control even on gravel-type terrain. As a safety feature, a two-stage ABS system is also provided, which controls the ABS function according to the front and rear conditions.
- The throttle-by-wire system operates electronically instead of the conventional cable throttle, which provides precise throttle response. A feature called Low-RPM Assist prevents the engine from stalling at very low speeds, especially when moving without getting stuck in traffic. The start button operation has also been simplified, meaning that the bike can be started quickly with a single press.
