TVS Motor Company is developing a new 450cc engine bike in India. This bike will have two cylinders, that is, it is a twin-cylinder bike. This bike is designed based on the new 450cc platform developed by the famous motorcycle company BMW Motorrad in Germany. That is, TVS is developing this new bike based on the technology developed by BMW.
Another bike, namely a 450cc bike from the famous British bike brand Norton, is also going to be developed using the same platform. This Norton bike has now come under the purview of TVS. Moreover, along with these, TVS is also developing a new electric scooter. It will be different from the current iQube models, that is, it is expected to be developed with speed and efficiency in mind.
Thus, TVS is currently focusing on many new products. In this, the alliance with BMW plays a very important role.
TVS-BMW alliance to develop a new 450cc bike
TVS Motor Company’s top executives have officially confirmed that there is a plan to develop a new 450cc bike. Apart from this new bike, some other new models are expected to be launched in the Indian market soon. This bike will be based on the new 450cc platform jointly developed by TVS and Germany’s BMW Motorrad. This platform was first introduced to the world at the EICMA 2024 event. After that, this bike is being manufactured for the Indian market on the same technical basis. This is considered an important development of the two companies together.

Apache RR 450: TVS’s new fully faired supersport bike is reported to be coming
This new 450cc bike will be developed on the same platform as the BMW Motorrad F 450 GS bike. This BMW bike was seen testing in India in May 2025. The new bike that TVS is developing is a supersport with a full fairing. It will be an improvement over the existing Apache RR 310 bike and will be in a higher class.
Although there are claims that it may be called TVS Apache RR 450, no official announcement has been made by TVS so far. The current 310cc platform was jointly developed by BMW and TVS. This platform is currently shared by several bikes including the G310 RR. Therefore, this new Apache RR 450 bike will be an important model that will come with more advanced technology.
Engine details of the bike
The new Apache RR 450 bike will use a 450cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. This engine is capable of delivering 48 PS of power and 45 Nm of torque. Moreover, it will come with a world-first 125-degree firing angle, so it will be unique in terms of performance and sound control. The Apache RR 450 bike will have this engine tuned to be a supersport bike.
The same engine is also likely to be used in the new 450cc bike from the popular Norton brand under TVS. However, since that bike belongs to the neo-retro roadster category, only smooth and consistent tuning will be done for it. This way, even though both the bikes share the same engine, each will offer a unique riding experience.
New high-performance electric scooter
Unlike the current iQube-type scooters, TVS is preparing a new electric scooter that will be built entirely with performance in mind. This scooter will be in the premium category with speed and capability. TVS plans to launch it in the Indian market this fiscal. It is expected to come with new styling and technological improvements, leaving aside the family-oriented design of the iQube series.
Launch dates
The new 450cc bike being developed by TVS is expected to be officially launched at the MotoSoul 2025 event to be held in December 2025. Meanwhile, the Norton brand’s 450cc bike is scheduled to be launched internationally at the world-famous EICMA event to be held in November 2025. Both these events will be the gateway to a new phase of the second generation bikes.
