Jupiter CNG Scooter Design and Storage Facilities
Although the Jupiter CNG scooter looks similar to the Jupiter 125, there are some minor changes. Most importantly, the CNG logos of this scooter are designed in a way that is clearly visible. The CNG cylinder in this vehicle is placed under the seat. Thus, there is no storage facility in this area. In comparison, the storage capacity of up to 33 liters in the petrol-powered Jupiter 125 scooter is not available in this. Therefore, passengers using this CNG scooter will lose the facility to store more things.
Technical Details
The TVS Jupiter CNG scooter is introduced with several key technical features. It uses a 1.4 kg (9.5 liter) CNG cylinder. This cylinder is supplied by Vanaz, the same company that supplies the cylinder to the Bajaj Freedom 125. The scooter also has a 2-litre petrol tank, which is mounted on the floor of the vehicle. The engine is a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit. It is capable of delivering 7.2 horsepower and 9.4 Nm of torque. This is slightly less than the petrol-powered Jupiter 125’s 8.1 bhp and 10.5 Nm. As per TVS, the CNG scooter has a top speed of 80.5 kmph.
Key features of Jupiter CNG
The most important feature of the TVS Jupiter CNG scooter is its impressive mileage. TVS claims that the vehicle can travel up to 84 kilometres per kilo of CNG. This makes it a very economical scooter to operate, providing financial savings to the users. Combined with both CNG and petrol, the scooter is said to be capable of travelling up to 226 kilometres. This ensures that the fuel consumption is low on long journeys.
Effortless riding experience with modern features
TVS Jupiter CNG scooter has many modern features to attract passengers. It has a semi-digital instrument cluster, through which passengers can get important information clearly. For safety, there is a side stand indicator, which warns if the stand is lowered. A bright LED headlight is provided for night riding. There is also a USB charger to charge mobile devices during the journey. Also, there is a facility to connect the scooter to a smartphone via the TVS Connect App and receive call and text alerts. All these make the travel experience modern and convenient.
