The new Nissan Micra EV will go on sale in Europe later this year. It is a fully electric hatchback that can travel more than 400 kilometers on a single charge. The Nissan Micra has been on the market for more than 40 years, with its main goal being to offer easy-to-use, compact and well-performing cars. Now in its sixth generation, the Micra is a completely electric vehicle designed for urban commuters. Car design and interior features
The car is 4 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, and its wheelbase is 2.54 meters, which means that the car has a lot of space inside. The boot space is 326 liters, which is excellent storage for its size. The car is only available with five doors. The dashboard features two 10.1-inch screens; one of which is used to display key vehicle information, while the other is used for infotainment and navigation applications. The car’s interior has three different themes: Modern, Chill and Audacious. Furthermore, the central storage compartment is beautifully designed with the shape of Mount Fuji, which gives the car a unique look.

Powertrain and Charging Capabilities
The car comes in two powertrain models. First, the model with a 40 kWh battery delivers 90 kW of power and can travel 308 kilometers on a single charge. The second model with a 52 kWh battery delivers 110 kW of power and can travel 408 kilometers. The torque output of these is 225 Nm and 245 Nm, respectively. The vehicle weight varies from 1,400 to 1,524 kilograms. Additionally, there is a fast charging capability of up to 100 kW, allowing for a 15% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. Both models are equipped with heat pump and battery temperature management features, ensuring consistent power and high efficiency on the go.
Nissan Micra EV: Exterior design and color options
Designed by Nissan Design Europe in London, the car is taller than before and has a bolder design with SUV features. 18-inch wheels further enhance the car’s appearance. Customers can choose from 14 colors, including black or gray Gore. The front and rear LED lights are uniquely designed, and a special light is illuminated by a “wink” light function when the vehicle is locked or unlocked. This combines the car’s design and technology features to give it a unique look.
Battery system and modern connectivity
Built on the AmpR EV platform, the car has the battery located under the car. There is a unique strut suspension at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear. V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology allows external devices to be powered from the battery. Google services are integrated with the NissanConnect system, making navigation, voice control and device integration easy to use. The NissanConnect app provides features such as remote vehicle management, charging status, climate control and vehicle location.
Driver assistance technologies
The compact Nissan Micra is equipped with a full range of driver assistance technologies. This includes ProPilot Assist technology. It helps the driver on highways, helps the car follow the correct path and provides support for braking in emergencies. This makes driving easier and safer.
